Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED, College Degree a plus.
  • Three or more years of experience in fire alarm sales, design, and/or project management.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • NICET level I or II in Fire Alarm systems.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70 and 72.
  • Knowledge of construction and the processes and procedures that are involved in each project from beginning to end.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Advanced written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Well-developed active listening, critical thinking, and deductive reasoning skills.
  • Have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable DMV record.
  • Passing a pre-employment drug test, as well as background and reference check.

Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate new and nurture existing client relationships to define their needs and collaboratively develop solutions.
  • Employ company outlined sales and marketing strategies and expectations for prompt qualification and follow up on identified opportunity leads, and to establish and maintain continuous client contact.
  • Review client project scope, plans, and specifications against applicable building codes and standards to develop client proposals.
  • Be familiar with NFPA 72 and 2001 as they relate to clean agent suppression systems and fire alarm systems, as well as bi-directional amplification systems, security/intrusion systems, CCTV systems, access control systems, area of rescue system, nurse call systems, and other low voltage type systems.  
  • Maintain contact with and expand AFPG’s list of qualified subcontractors. 
  • Develop and maintain an active proposal pipeline that supports established sales goals.
  • Provide constructive feedback to aid improvement of company business processes and systems to maintain an industry-best experience for team members and clients.
  • Submit all required sales reports, data, expenses, and correspondence in an accurate and timely manner. 
  • Coordinate with Design and Operations Departments to ensure proper transition at each phase of project development and execution.
  • Perform cross-functional duties relating to Sales, Estimating, and Project Management as required.
